On my Christmas
Holiday Cartoons in the last decade I also speak to these
speculations.
A Note on Translation:
In the upper right is a picture of a vaguely Hebrew-like group of
figures. In some dimensions, the sounds behind the sounds reflect
certain vibratory energies that organize our world. In Sanskrit, the
syllable Om and other syllables are believed to have that quality, and
in mystical Judiasm the letters of the alphabet---believed to be the
letters used by God Himself in composing the Torah---also partake of a
certain sacredness and depth. What then if behind the forms there's a
level of living energies that confer yet other form-like influences in
the world? What if these are types of pre-form patterning-energies? To
deny them a kind of life might reflect our own density of perception,
our human and modern insensitivity.
At any rate, it suggests the complexity of the problem at hand. Now,
here on the left is another "picture." Actually, it is a view taken by
the intuitive-imagino-scope of a portion of the trans-dimensional
realm. Events there unfold from what David Bohm called the "implicate
order" into the "explicate order" as flowers bloom in a Springtime
meadow. Our sorry drawings myst be appreciated as a human mind's effort
to capture in cartoony form what is a stylized shadow or projecction of
the deeper-dimensional forms. They only focus on a sector, just as a
microscopic view of a complex field can only focus on one level and one
section of what is on the glass slide, and that in turn is only a drop
or slice of the whole. What is closer to the truth is the mind's effort
to express in imagery what can only be intuited.
This all resonates with a quote from the writing of the the philosopher
Alfred North Whitehead (1861-1947), on pages 237-238 in his book, Modes of Thought:
"The use of philosophy is to
maintain an active novelty of fundamental ideas illuminating the social
system. It reverses the slow descent of accepted thought towards the
inactive commonplace. If you like to phrase it so, philosophy is
mystical. For mysticism is direct insight into depths as yet unspoken.
But the purpose of philosophy is to rationalize mysticism; not by
explaining it away, but by the introduction of novel verbal
characterizations, rationally coordinated.
Philosophy is akin to
poetry, and both of them seek to express that ultimate good sense which
we term civilization. In each case there is reference to form beyond
the direct meanings of words. Poetry allies itself to metre, philosophy
to mathematic pattern."
Now again on the right you can "see" (in part this requires your
intuitions and imaginatin) how trans-dimensional "forms" give birth to
other forms, or suggest associated ideas. (Translation into the
constraints of the English language is very difficult, because your
language has no names or even ways of conceptualizing much of what is
really being described here.) Still, it's worth reaching for. Many
dimensional beings, or many-dimensional beings, are more mind-like than
matter-like, and their modes of reproduction is more like the way jazz
musicians take a riff off of the performance a moment earlier by a
fellow performer. Thus biddley bop on the saxophone may stimulate a
de-boop and subsequent elaborations on the clarinet. Cany you
synestheticall "hear" the melody and counter melody being portrayed
here? Hint: Listen to two mockingbirds on neighboring trees each
improvising their own song, but reflecting subtly the song of the
other.
This picture on the left is closer to home, a sort of diagram of the
ways your right and left cerebral hemispheres play off of each other.
There is feedback, integration, creativity, and what has not yet been
discovered by your scientists, multi-dimensionality. So it'll come.
Now, on the right and slighty below the previous figure is another
picture that might best be titled, "ring theory"---sort of a take-off
on the current fashion called "String Theory" in fundamental physics.
In that world their metaphysicians consider
the fundamental "building blocks" of mind. They speculate up a storm.
What is shown here is a rough view of their ideas about the building
blocks of mind, primal feedback loops operating trans-dimensionally.
The ring of (loosely translated) encouragement plays off of a ring of
appreciation.
In our own relationships these vibratory cycles manifest not only
as love, but also giving and enjoyment. If you listen with your "third
ear," your intuition, you might "hear" a giggly kind of harmonic chord.
Slumping and vlashing "rings" weave in and out.
Well, I think this is enough for today. The point here is to
suggest an opening to intuition at a level or two beyond what my dear
mentor (I wish!) Whitehead suggested. What's it all about?
